How the estimate works
We take the room perimeter, subtract about 3 feet for each doorway, then add a 10% waste allowance for mitre cuts and mistakes. Since trim is sold in fixed lengths, we round up to whole pieces. Buy one extra piece — corners and scarf joints eat material faster than you'd expect.
